ATLANTA, July 2 (UPI) -- David Ross hit a grand slam and Tim Hudson threw six solid innings Saturday in the Atlanta Braves' 5-4 interleague win over Baltimore.
Ross' slam erased a 2-1 deficit and sent the Braves to a series-clinching win in their three-game match-up against the Orioles at Turner Field.
Hudson (7-6) gutted out the victory, holding the O's to three runs despite allowing eight hits and three walks through six innings. He carded six strikeouts.
Scott Linebrink issued a solo homer to Nick Markakis in the seventh, allowing Baltimore to pull to within a run, but Eric O'Flaherty followed by tossing 1 1/3 scoreless innings and Craig Kimbrel picked up his 24th save in the ninth.
Mark Reynolds socked pair of homers -- a two-run shot in the fourth and bases-empty clout in the sixth -- in Baltimore's loss.
The Orioles' Jake Arrieta (9-5) was rocked for five runs on six hits before being yanked after five innings.
