MONTREAL, July 1 (UPI) -- John Cook and John Huston both shot a course-record 9-under 63 at Club de Golf Fontainebleau Friday to share the first-round lead at the Montreal Championship.
The 63 tied D.A. Weibring's course record, shot in 2010.

Defending champion Larry Mize shot a 7-under 65 to share third place with Joey Sindelar, Tommy Armour III, Jeff Sluman, Jay Haas, Dan Forsman and Chien Soon Lu.
On a day when 69 of the 79 players in the field broke par, five players including U.S. Ryder Cup captains Corey Pavin and Hal Sutton are tied for 10th at 66.
