MLB: Chi. White Sox 6, Colorado 4 (10 inn)

DENVER, June 30 (UPI) -- Juan Pierre forced extra innings with a sacrifice fly and drove in the game-winner in the 10th inning Thursday in the Chicago White Sox 6-4 win over Colorado.

With the Rockies leading 4-2 in the eight, Alexei Ramirez and A.J. Pierzynski reached on back-to-back singles off Matt Lindstrom. Gordon Beckham drove in Ramirez with a one-out single that sent Pierzynski to third on a play that allowed Beckham to reach second.

Following an intentional walk to pinch-hitter Paul Konerko, Pierre brought Pierzynski home with the tying run with a sacrifice fly to center.

Ramirez led off the 10th with a double off Clayton Mortensen (2-4) on the mound, Alexei Ramirez led off with a double, Pierzynski reached on a single and Gordon got base when Mortensen couldn't field his bunt cleanly. One batter later, Pierre drove in two with a single to put the White Sox up 6-4.

Sergio Santos retired the side in the bottom of the 10th to record his 17th save.

Beckham finished 3-for-3 with a solo homer, two RBI and two runs scored.

Jesse Crain (4-2) picked up the victory after getting the final two outs of the ninth.

White Sox starter Jake Peavy went six innings, allowing four runs on seven hits with two walks and four strikeouts.

The Rockies got a three-run home run from Troy Tulowitzki in their fifth loss in six games.
