PITTSBURGH, June 30 (UPI) -- Jaromir Jagr's agent was set to meet with Pittsburgh General Manager Ray Shero Thursday to discuss a contract, NHL.com reported.

The Penguins' offer for the 39-year-old Czech superstar reportedly is for one year and $2 million, the Web site said.

"We are going to exchange some things," agent Petr Svoboda told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. "This is obviously a tough decision for Jaromir. His heart is in Pittsburgh."

Svoboda said he also would speak with the Detroit Red Wings and Montreal Canadiens Thursday. Both teams have shown an interest.

The agent said he expects Jagr to make a decision Thursday, but can't sign a contract until noon EDT Friday when the NHL free agent market opens.

"He was an icon in Pittsburgh. We'd like to see him finish his career here."

Jagr is ninth all-time in scoring with 1,599 points, just 42 behind Joe Sakic. NHL.com said he played in 1,273 NHL games over 17 seasons -- the first 11 in Pittsburgh where he won the Stanley Cup twice.

Jagr hasn't played in the NHL since the end of the 2007-08 season. Jagr played the last three seasons in Russia.
