HOUSTON, June 29 (UPI) -- Two home runs by Ian Kinsler and clutch pitching by three relievers Wednesday helped bring the Texas Rangers a 3-2 victory over Houston.
Kinsler hit a home run in his final at-bat Tuesday in a 7-3 Texas win over the Astros, and homered in each of his first two trips to the plate Wednesday.
Adrian Beltre added an RBI single in the first inning and the Rangers owned a 3-0 lead going into the seventh.
Texas starter and winner Colby Lewis (7-7) then gave up two runs and had two more men on base in the seventh before Darren Oliver came on to get the final out of the inning and protect the lead.
Oliver and Mark Lowe combined to work a perfect eighth and Neftali Feliz appeared in the ninth to collect his 16th save. Feliz issued a leadoff walk to Carlos Lee, but Matt Downs struck out and Brett Wallace did the same thing. Lee was caught stealing on Wallace's third strike to end the game.
Houston has lost five in a row. The setback went to Brett Myers (3-7), who gave up three runs on six hits in seven innings.
