
PHILADELPHIA, June 29 (UPI) -- Raul Ibanez drove in both Philadelphia runs and broke a seventh-inning tie with a homer Wednesday, leading the Phillies past Boston 2-1.
Ibanez came into the game with a .352 career batting average against John Lackey and improved on that with three hits.
Shane Victorino scored on a single by Ibanez in the second and Ibanez led off the seventh by hitting Lackey's 0-1 offering over the wall in right.
Philadelphia's Vance Worley (3-1) lasted a career-long seven innings to get the win, allowing a run on five hits. Antonio Bastardo was perfect in the ninth while recording his third save.
Lackey (5-7) gave up the two runs on eight hits over 7 2/3 innings. Lackey drove in Boston's only run with a double in the fifth.
The Red Sox have managed just one run on seven hits in 18 innings against Philadelphia pitching during the first two games of a series between two teams expected to reach the playoffs.
