DRESDEN, Germany, June 28 (UPI) -- Lauren Cheney and Rachel Buehler scored Tuesday, carrying the United States to a 2-0 Women's World Cup Group C victory over North Korea.

Cheney, starting her first match since early this year in place of Megan Rapinoe, scored in the 54th minute, finding the lower-left corner of the goal off a cross from Abby Wambach.

Buehler's goal came in the 76th minute, who drove a shot to the bottom left of the net after accepting a pass from Carli Lloyd.

The Americans, who are unbeaten in four all-time meetings with North Korea in the World Cup, lea Group C on goal differential over Sweden, which edged Colombia 1-0 Tuesday. The U.S. plays Colombia Saturday and North Korea meets Sweden the same day.
