VANCOUVER, British Columbia, June 28 (UPI) -- Defenseman Kevin Bieksa signed a five-year deal with the Vancouver Canucks Tuesday.

The NHL club didn't reveal how much it will pay Bieksa but a report on TSN pegged it at $23 million. The network also said Bieksa has a no-trade clause.

The 30-year-old defenseman scored six goals and had 16 assists during the last regular season. He then put in five more goals and added five assists in 25 playoff games when the Canucks came within a victory of capturing their first Stanley Cup.

Bieksa has 34 goals and 113 assists in 347 career games with Vancouver.
