CHICAGO, June 26 (UPI) -- Danny Espinoza cracked a go-ahead, two-run homer in the seventh inning Sunday that handed Washington a 2-1 win over the Chicago White Sox.
Trailing 1-0 in the seventh, the Nationals' Michael Morse drew a two-out walk from White Sox starter Phil Humber (7-4) and Espinoza followed by pulling a 1-1 pitch deep into the right field stands.
Livan Hernandez (5-8) earned the victory, holding the White Sox to one run on eight hits over 6 2/3 innings, issuing a pair of walks to go with nine strikeouts.
Tyler Clippard and Sean Burnett teamed up for 1 1/3 shutout innings of relief and Drew Storen turned in a 1-2-3 ninth for his 19th save as the Nats won the rubber match of a three-game interleague series against the Chisox.
Humber surrendered just the two runs on three hits over 6 2/3 frames and Paul Konerko delivered Chicago's only RBI with a third-inning single.
