ENDICOTT, N.Y., June 26 (UPI) -- John Huston fired a 7-under 65 Sunday and claimed a victory in only his third Champions Tour start, winning the Dick's Sporting Goods Open.
Huston, who turned 50 June 1, finished at 16-under 200 and won by three strokes at En-Joie Golf Club. It was his first victory since the 2003 Southern Farm Bureau Classic on the PGA Tour.
Huston was put in a position to win when Mark Wiebe, who was aiming for his second title in two weeks, carded three consecutive bogeys from the 12th hole, dashing his hopes.
Nick Price took second at minus-13 with a 6-under 66 Sunday and Wiebe (71) ended in third at 12-under 204.
Sharing fourth place were Jim Gallagher Jr. (65) and Joey Sindelar (68) at 11-under 205.
