Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
FRISCO, Texas, June 25 (UPI) -- Zach Loyd and George John scored 5 minutes apart in the first half Saturday and the FC Dallas went on to rout Portland 4-0.
Brek Shea and Ruben Luna added second-half tallies for Dallas (9-4-4), which came back with a big win after having its nine-game unbeaten streak snapped last weekend against Sporting Kansas City.
Goalie Kevin Hartman needed to make just two saves to register the shutout.
Portland (5-7-3), meanwhile, lost for the fifth time in seven road games and remained winless away from home.
