MLB: Toronto 5, St. Louis 4

ST. LOUIS, June 25 (UPI) -- Jose Bautista hit a tiebreaking homer in the ninth inning Friday that lifted the Toronto Blue Jays to a 5-4 victory over St. Louis.

The Blue Jays snapped a four-game losing streak and the Cardinals suffered their 10th loss in 13 games.

Bautista barely cleared the right field fence for his 23rd home run of the season, which came with one out on an 0-1 pitch from Fernando Salas (4-2). That blast gave the win to Jason Frasor (2-1), who worked the eighth inning.

Frank Francisco turned in a perfect ninth for his eighth save.

Aaron Hill and Adam Lind each drove in a run in both the first and fifth innings, allowing the Blue Jays to overcome a solo homer in the second by Colby Rasmus and a two-run shot by Matt Holliday in the sixth that rallied St. Louis into a 4-4 tie.
