LONDON, June 24 (UPI) -- Top-seeded Caroline Wozniacki and Venus Williams advanced in third-round play at Wimbledon Friday.

Wozniacki had little trouble with French veteran Virginie Razzano and cruised to a 6-1, 6-3 win in a little more than an hour.

Wozniacki scored a pair of aces and made only one unforced error to 14 by Razzano.

Williams also took about an hour to get past Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez of Spain 6-0, 6-2.

Tsvetana Pironkova advanced to the fourth round by ousting second-seeded Vera Zvonareva, who was the runner-up at Wimbledon last year, 6-2, 6-3.

Fifth-seeded Maria Sharapova and ninth-seeded Marion Bartoli won their second-round matches Friday.
