Coetzee, Stenson tied at BMW Open

MUNICH, Germany, June 24 (UPI) -- South African George Coetzee and Swede Henrik Stenson were tied for the lead Friday after two rounds at the BMW International Open in Germany at 10-under 134.

Stenson shot a 2-under 70 despite bogeys on two of his final three holes to stake a claim to his share of the lead and Coetzee carded a 67 for the second consecutive day in Munich.

Pablo Larrazabal of Spain was in third place, one stroke behind the leaders, after shooting 67.

Stenson began the day alone in first place. He started strong with five consecutive pars, an eagle on the sixth and a birdie on No. 7. His round got bumpier after that with three more birdies and four bogeys.

Coetzee, who started on the back nine, bogeyed three holes but offset them with an eagle on 11 and six birdies, including four on his final six holes.
