CHICAGO, June 22 (UPI) -- A.J. Pierzynski put the Chicago White Sox in front for good with a two-run triple in the fourth Wednesday en route to a 4-3 win over the Chicago Cubs.
Jake Peavy returned from the 15-day disabled list to get the win, the second in a row for the White Sox.
Pierzynski delivered his first triple in more than two seasons to break a scoreless tie and then scored on a squeeze bunt by Brent Lillibridge.
Lillibridge drove in another run in the fifth when he was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.
Peavy (3-1) concluded his second stint on the disabled list this season by surviving 5 1/3 innings. He allowed all three runs on seven hits while striking out five.
Sergio Santos struck out two during a perfect ninth for his 14th save.
Carlos Pena homered and Starlin Castro and Jeff Baker each drove in a run for the Cubs.
