CHICAGO, June 20 (UPI) -- Carlos Pena and Starlin Castro each homered in the sixth inning Monday, rallying the Chicago Cubs to a 6-3 interleague win over the Chicago White Sox.
The Cubs erased a 3-2 deficit with the homers and held on to post only their fifth win in 12 games against their cross-town rivals in a resumption of their annual home-and-home interleague rivalry series.
Castro tied the game in the sixth with a leadoff solo homer against Gavin Floyd (6-7). Floyd then allowed a single to Blake DeWitt and walked Aramis Ramirez before yielding a three-run blast to Pena.
Castro also contributed a two-run single for the Cubs.
Carlos Zambrano (6-4) earned the victory, shutting the door after allowing three runs in the first inning. He ended by allowing seven hits and two walks while fanning five.
Floyd yielded six runs on six hits in a five-inning start.
Paul Konerko socked a two-run homer for the White Sox.
