ATLANTA, June 19 (UPI) -- Jason Heyward drove in a pair of runs and Jair Jurrjens won his ninth game Sunday, helping the Atlanta Braves log a 4-2 interleague win over Texas.
Jordan Schafer and Dan Uggla got aboard in the third inning of a scoreless game and moved up to second and third base on a one-out wild pitch by Rangers starter Alexi Ogando (7-2).
Heyward followed by looping a line drive to short left field just beyond the reach of shortstop Elvis Andrus, plating both runners and giving the Braves a lead they wouldn't relinquish.
Freddie Freeman went 3-for-4 with an RBI double for Atlanta, which avoided a three-game sweep at the hands of the Rangers.
Jurrjens (9-3) picked up his ninth win, tied for the most in the major leagues. He held the Rangers to one run despite yielding seven hits and two walks in 5 1/3 innings.
Craig Kimbrel earned his 19th save with a scoreless ninth.
Ogando ended up allowing three runs (one earned) on five hits in a five-inning start.
Yorvit Torrealba went 2-for-2 with an RBI but committed two errors in the Rangers' loss.
