OMAHA, June 19 (UPI) -- Preston Tucker's RBI double capped a five-run outburst in the middle innings Saturday that carried Florida to an 8-4 College World Series win over Texas.

The Gators scored five consecutive runs in the middle frames, rallying from a 3-0 deficit to establish a 5-3 lead.

Bryson Smith went 2-for-2 with a pair of RBI and Brian Johnson also drove in two runs to back Hudson Randall, who gave up four runs (one earned) over 6 2/3 innings for the victory.

The Gators advanced to face Vanderbilt Monday with the win.

The Longhorns, which got an RBI double from Jordan Etier in the loss, fell into the losers' bracket where they will face North Carolina in an elimination game Monday.
