Tursunov comeback ongoing at Unicef Open

'S-HERTOGENBOSCH, Netherlands, June 18 (UPI) -- Dmitry Tursunov of Russia won the Unicef Open championship in The Netherlands Saturday with a straight-set victory over Ivan Dodig of Croatia.

Tursunov bested Dodig 6-3, 6-2 in a rain-delayed match for his seventh career ATP title and first in two years.

Tursunov saved three break points against his own serve in the first set and then swept Dodig once the second set resumed after being halted on account of rain.

Tursunov, who has undergone three ankle surgeries in the past two years, was ranked 197th in the world at the start of the year and has worked his way up to No. 70. His next stop will be Wimbledon where he will face one of the qualifiers.
