MLB: Kansas City 7, Oakland 4

OAKLAND, Calif., June 15 (UPI) -- Billy Butler and Alcides Escobar both notched a pair of RBI for the Kansas City Royals in Tuesday's 7-4 road win over the Oakland Athletics.

Danny Duffy (1-2) earned his first major league win after giving up two runs on four hits and four walks in six innings.

Joakim Soria pitched the ninth for his 10th save.

Oakland lost its 13th game in 14 outings despite a solo home run by Hideki Matsui. The A's were 3-for-10 with runners in scoring position.

The Royals scored twice in the eighth and added an insurance run in the ninth to put the game on ice.
