DETROIT, June 15 (UPI) -- Orlando Cabrera put Cleveland in front to stay with a fifth-inning double Wednesday, helping the Indians rally past Detroit 6-4.
Cleveland won for just the third time in 13 games and moved back into a tie with Detroit for the lead in the American League Central.
The Indians overcame an early three-run deficit with a four-run fourth, but the Tigers tied it in the bottom half of that inning.
Shin-Soo Choo then reached on a one-out single in the fifth against losing pitcher Charlie Furbush (1-1) and scored all the way from first on Cabrera's two-out double.
Choo had two of Cleveland's 13 hits and scored three times.
Starter Fausto Carmona (4-8) picked up the win despite giving up four runs on seven hits in five innings. It was his first victory in seven starts.
Chris Perez struck out two during a perfect ninth for his 17th save.
