
ATLANTA, June 14 (UPI) -- Jose Reyes went 3-for-5, including an RBI single, and scored the go-ahead run Tuesday in the New York Mets' 4-3 victory over Atlanta.
Reyes led off the third inning of a 1-1 tie game with a single, advanced to second on Willie Harris' hit, stole third and then scored the go-ahead run when Angel Pagan ripped a hit to right field.
Carlos Beltran went 2-for-4 with an RBI single for the Mets, who took the opener of a three-game series at Turner Field.
Jonathon Niese (6-5) yielded two runs on five hits over 6 1/3 frames to notch the victory, and Francisco Rodriguez racked up his 19th save with a 1-2-3 ninth.
Atlanta's Jair Jurrjens (8-3) was saddled with the loss after giving up four runs on eight hits in a 5 1/3-inning performance, his shortest start of the season.
Dan Uggla cracked a solo homer for the Braves, who lost their second straight after a six-game winning streak.
