Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

PORTLAND, Ore., June 12 (UPI) -- Drew Moor's goal in the 2nd minute of stoppage time Saturday boosted the Colorado Rapids to a 1-0 decision over Portland.
The goal came after a wild scramble for a loose ball in the Portland penalty area. Moor eventually collected it near the penalty spot and booted the game-winner into an empty net.
The victory snapped a streak of six straight ties for the Rapids.
Colorado (5-3-7) kept itself in the game thanks to goalkeeper Matt Pickens, who made a great diving save on Kenny Cooper's shot from the area in the 57th minute.
Portland (5-6-2) benefited from goalkeeper Troy Perkins' two saves on Colorado's Caleb Folan in the first half.
