NEW YORK, June 10 (UPI) -- David Ortiz doubled home two runs with his second hit during a seven-run seventh Thursday that rallied Boston to an 8-3 win over the New York Yankees.

The Red Sox won their sixth in a row and have captured all six games they have played in Yankee Stadium this season.

The game was delayed at the start by rain and did not get going until after 10:30 p.m. It finished at 1:42 a.m.

Curtis Granderson hit a two-run homer in the first inning and New York protected its 2-0 lead until the seventh, when Boston unloaded against CC Sabathia (7-4), who was charged with six runs in the inning.

Ortiz opened the frame with a single and promptly scored on a triple by Jed Lowrie. Mike Cameron doubled home Lowrie, moved to third on a base hit by Jason Varitek and scored on a single by Jacoby Ellsbury.

Adrian Gonzalez then produced a two-out single that brought home Varitek and a single by Kevin Youkilis scored Ellsbury. Ortiz came up for the second time in the inning and his double delivered Gonzalez and Youkilis.

Gonzalez drove in his second run with a ninth-inning double.

Josh Beckett (5-2) defeated New York for the third time this year, allowing two runs on four hits in seven innings.
