PITTSBURGH, June 8 (UPI) -- Andrew McCutchen hit a leadoff homer just inside the left field foul pole in the 12th inning Wednesday, giving the Pittsburgh Pirates a 3-2 win over Arizona.
Arizona's Stephen Drew forged a 1-1 tie with an RBI single in the eighth and then put the Diamondbacks in front in the 10th with run-scoring base hit.
McCutchen, however, scored on a single by Neil Walker to tie it again in the bottom of the 10th and then gave the Pirates their second straight win. He worked the count full against Zach Kroenke (0-1), who was facing his first batter, before hitting his 10th homer of the season.
It was Kroenke's first major league loss in his seventh career appearance. He won his only decision in 2010.
Pittsburgh reached the .500 mark for the first time since May 10. Arizona has dropped three straight.
The win went to Daniel McCutchen (2-1), who worked both the 11th and 12th innings.
