Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
SANDY, Utah, June 5 (UPI) -- Jean Alexandre netted a first-half goal Saturday and Real Salt Lake went on to post a 2-0 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps.
Alexandre got the game's first goal in the 32nd minute. He was able to remain onside while taking a Kyle Beckerman feed, deked a defender and found the net to give RSL (6-2-2) all the offense it would need.
Alexandre also set up the insurance goal when he fed a through-ball to Fabian Espindola, who scored his second goal of the season in the 79th minute.
Vancouver fell to 1-6-6.
