FRISCO, Texas, June 5 (UPI) -- Marvin Chavez got the only goal and goalkeeper Kevin Hartman notched his 100th career shutout Saturday in Dallas FC's 1-0 decision over New England.
Chavez scored in the 69th minute for Dallas (7-3-4) when he got around defender A.J. Soares on the right side of the box and put a shot past New England goalie Matt Reis from a tight angle.
Hartman made two saves in the personal landmark for Dallas, which has moved into second place in the Western Division thanks to an eight-game unbeaten streak that has included six wins.
New England (3-6-4), meanwhile, fell for the fourth time in its last six games.
