MLB: San Diego 3, Houston 1

SAN DIEGO, June 4 (UPI) -- Dustin Moseley gave up a lone run over seven innings Friday, helping the San Diego Padres end a two-game skid with a 3-1 victory over Houston.

The only other victory of the season for Moseley (2-6) had come on May 1. This was his sixth start since then, three of which ended in losses. He gave up six hits while striking out five.

Mike Adams struck out two in the eighth and Heath Bell walked one in the ninth before posting his 15th save.

The Padres snapped Houston's four-game winning streak.

Houston produced its only run on a squeeze bunt in the fourth and San Diego scored twice in the bottom half of the inning to take the lead.

Ryan Ludwick drove in the tying run with a single and then scored on a double from Aaron Cunningham. Chris Denorfia added a solo homer in the fifth.

J.A. Happ (3-7) suffered the loss while allowing three runs on six hits in six innings.
