MLB: Milwaukee 6, Florida 5

MIAMI, June 3 (UPI) -- Pinch-hitter Ryan Braun hit a two-run homer in the ninth inning Friday that rallied the Milwaukee Brewers to a 6-5 win over Florida.

The Brewers took an early 4-1 lead, but then fell behind by a run in the sixth when John Buck reached on a leadoff double and scored on a single by Greg Dobbs.

Milwaukee still faced the one-run deficit heading into the ninth, but Yuniesky Betancourt opened the inning with a single off closer Leo Nunez (0-2) and scored in front of Braun's 13th homer.

That gave the win to Mike McClendon (2-0), who worked the eighth.

John Axford picked up his 14th save, but not before walking the bases loaded with two away in the ninth. Axford struck out pinch-hitter Brett Hayes on four pitches to end the game.

Prince Fielder hit a two-run homer for Milwaukee in the first, his 12th homer of the year. Florida came from behind to tie it with a three-run fourth, one of the runs scoring on Mike Stanton's 13th homer.
