CHICAGO, June 1 (UPI) -- Michael Bourn's RBI single during a six-run ninth-inning uprising put the Astros ahead and Houston went on to post a 7-3 comeback win over the Chicago Cubs.

A leadoff single by Brett Wallace (3-for-5, RBI) followed by doubles from Chris Johnson and pinch-hitter Matt Downs off Cubs closer Carlos Marmol (1-2) forged a 3-3 tie.

After pinch-hitter Angel Sanchez sent Downs to third with a sacrifice bunt, Bourn chased him home with a slicing liner over leaping Cubs shortstop Starlin Castro, putting Houston ahead.

Clint Barmes drew a walk and Hunter Pence then followed with a line-drive three-run homer to left, turning the game into a rout for Houston.

Fernando Rodriguez (1-0) got the victory after snuffing out a three-run Cubs rally in the eighth.

Rookie starter Jordan Lyles made his major league debut for the Astros, holding Chicago to one unearned run on five hits over seven frames.
