BOSTON, May 31 (UPI) -- Alexei Ramirez blooped a tie-breaking, two-run double in the sixth inning Monday, boosting the Chicago White Sox to a 7-3 win over Boston.

Alex Rios and Gordon Beckham singled and Juan Pierre drew a two-out walk off Boston starter Jon Lester (7-2) to load the bases in the sixth with the game tied 3-3.

Ramirez then lofted a short fly to right that landed behind first baseman Adrian Gonzalez, scoring Rios and Beckham.

Dan Wheeler came into to pitch and Carlos Quentin completed the rally with a two-run single, sending the White Sox to a victory in the first of a three-game series.

Jake Peavey (2-0) held Boston to three runs on six hits through seven innings to earn the victory, walking none and fanning two.

Lester was lit up for seven runs on eight hits over 5 2/3 innings.

Gonzalez had two hits including a solo homer and Dustin Pedroia added a two-run single for the Red Sox.
