MILWAUKEE, May 29 (UPI) -- Yovani Gallardo hurled eight shutout innings Sunday, taming the Giants on four hits in the Milwaukee Brewers' 6-0 shutout win over San Francisco.

Gallardo (7-2) notched a win in his fifth straight start, striking out five and issuing only one walk for the Brewers, who won for the 10th time in 11 home games and took the rubber match of a three-game set.

The right-hander stretched his home unbeaten streak to nine starts as Milwaukee improved to 21-7 this year at Miller Park.

Ryan Braun's infield hit in the first inning made it 1-0 and the Brewers never looked back. Braun finished 3-for-4 and Rickie Weeks added three hits and a pair of RBI in the victory.

Matt Cain (3-4) surrendered five runs on 11 hits over six innings for San Francisco, falling to 1-4 in his last eight outings.
