LOS ANGELES, May 29 (UPI) -- Brian Sanches and four relievers combined to shut the Dodgers down on six hits Saturday, sparking the Florida Marlins to a 6-1 win over Los Angeles.
Sanches, normally a relief pitcher, made his first career start while filling in for injured ace Josh Johnson and limited the Dodgers to one run on three hits over the first three innings.
Edward Mujica (5-2) earned the win with two scoreless frames while Burke Badenhop, Mike Dunn and Steve Cishek completed the victory for Florida, which won for the sixth time in eight contests.
Greg Dobbs went 3-for-5 with a pair of RBI and Wes Helms added a two-run, pinch-hit double for the Marlins, who evened their three-game series with Los Angeles at one win apiece.
Hiroki Kuroda (5-5) was roughed up for five runs on 10 hits over 5 1/3 innings for the Dodgers, who fell for the fifth time in seven outings.
