Astros General Manager Ed Wade said a magnetic resonance imaging exam showed no structural problems in the left-hander's elbow after he was scratched from his scheduled start Friday with elbow discomfort.

Rodriguez has compiled a 3-3 record and 3.41 ERA in 10 starts this season, including a 3-1 mark in his last seven starts. He is expected to miss only two starts.

Taking his spot on the roster will be right-hander Jordan Lyles, the Astros' top pitching prospect. He is set to make his major league debut Tuesday against the Chicago Cubs.

Lyles, 20, is 3-1 with a 2.00 ERA in his last seven starts for Class AAA Oklahoma City.

Jerry Jones to attend Tony Romo's wedding

DALLAS, May 28 (UPI) -- Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says he will be among the guests at Saturday's gala wedding of NFL starting quarterback Tony Romo and Candice Crawford.

The couple will tie the knot in an evening ceremony at the Arlington Hall mansion in Dallas.

Jones told the Dallas Morning News he planned to attend after getting a waiver from the NFL owners, who have locked out their players since the last collective bargaining agreement lapsed.

"I've gotten special permission," Jones said earlier this week. "But more than anything (I got the) right ticket from him and his fiancee. It is one of the prettiest invitations I've ever seen."

The ceremony will be held under a large tent erected on the grounds of the mansion. TMZ.com said its sources reported the entire mansion compound was booked for the occasion.

Change made to Indy 500 restart rules

INDIANAPOLIS, May 28 (UPI) -- IndyCar officials have agreed to make some tweaks to the restart rules for the Indianapolis 500 on Memorial Day.

The change is a compromise between drivers who prefer the single-file restart procedure and team owners who like the double-file restarts that have been in place this season.

The new arrangement, which will be in effect at the 100th edition of the 500 on Monday, will have the cars running two-by-two on the backstretch when the pace car pulls off the track, IndyCar said in a written statement. Once the green flag goes up, racing will begin as the cars approach the restart zone at the start of Turn 4.

"It's something that is an unknown at Indianapolis because it's such a single-groove racetrack," said Al Unser, who ran the meeting with the drivers in lieu of ailing IndyCar President of Competition Brian Barnhart. "But the owners and the IZOD IndyCar Series decided to make a compromise and move it into the north (short) chute, so the cars can be more single file as they enter Turn 1."

ESPN.com said the drivers pushed for a single-file restart because they wanted to avoid the rubber tire debris that builds up along the outer walls at the end of Turn 4.

Kenseth edges Edwards for Charlotte win

CONCORD, N.C., May 28 (UPI) -- Matt Kenseth took the lead with three laps left Saturday and hung on to edge Carl Edwards for a Nationwide Series victory at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Kenseth took a pit stop during a late-race caution, replacing four tires, which allowed Edwards to temporarily take the advantage. But he overtook his Roush Fenway teammate down the stretch and notched his 26th career Nationwide win.

Kenseth earned the triumph in his first start in the series this year. He was driving in place of teammate Trevor Bayne.

Edwards came in second to give Roush Fenway both top spots.

Kyle Busch, seeking to tie Mark Martin's Nationwide Series record of 49 wins, came in third.

Pole-sitter Ricky Stenhouse Jr. held the fourth spot and Reed Sorenson came in fifth.
