TORONTO, May 28 (UPI) -- Corey Patterson homered in the bottom of the 14th inning Saturday, handing the Toronto Blue Jays a 9-8 victory over the Chicago White Sox.

Patterson, the first man up in the frame, lined a 1-2 pitch from Gavin Floyd (5-5) into the right field seats, handing the Blue Jays a walk-off win in the third of a four-game series against the Chisox.

Patterson finished the game 5-for-7 with four runs scored and Jose Bautista socked a three-run homer among his three hits and two walks for the Blue Jays, who beat Chicago for the 16th time in 20 games at Rogers Center.

Rookie left-hander Luis Perez (1-0) earned his first major league win, hurling 3 2/3 scoreless innings.

The White Sox tied the game in the top of ninth on Paul Konerko's bloop RBI double.

Konerko finished 2-for-3, Brent Lillibridge cracked a two-run homer and A.J. Pierzynski drove in a pair of runs for Chicago.
