MLB: Oakland 6, Baltimore 2

OAKLAND, Calif., May 28 (UPI) -- Josh Willingham had an RBI double during a three-run sixth Friday and added a homer in boosting the Oakland A's to a 6-2 win over Baltimore.

The Orioles had a five-game winning streak snapped and the A's have won three out of four on the heels of a six-game skid.

It was a 2-2 game heading into the sixth but Oakland batted around in that inning and eventually left the bases loaded.

The A's put runners on first and second with two away before Ryan Sweeney singled in Andy LaRoche with the go-ahead tally. Willingham then doubled home David DeJesus and Kurt Suzuki's single delivered Sweeney.

Willingham hit a solo homer in the eighth for the final run of the game.

Brad Ziegler (1-0) worked the sixth and seventh innings to get the win, allowing a hit and striking out one. It was his ninth victory in 201 relief appearances over four seasons.

Orioles' reliever Alfredo Simon (1-1) also worked two innings and took the loss while surrendering three runs on four hits.
