MINNEAPOLIS, May 25 (UPI) -- Eric Bedard and two relievers combined for a seven-hit shutout Wednesday and the Seattle Mariners whitewashed Minnesota 3-0.
Bedard (3-4) won his second straight start, holding the Twins to six hits over six scoreless innings, walking only one and fanning four as the Mariners took the rubber match of a three-game set.
David Pauley added two shutout frames in relief and Brandon League notched his 12th save with a 1-2-3 ninth for the M's, who won for the seventh time in eight games.
Franklin Gutierrez hit a solo homer while Adam Kennedy and Brendan Ryan added RBIs in Seattle's win.
Brian Duensing (2-5) was saddled with the loss, yielding three runs on four hits in a seven-inning start for Minnesota, which saw its major league-worst record fall to 16-32.
