PHILADELPHIA, May 24 (UPI) -- Jay Bruce blasted a tie-breaking three-run double in the ninth inning Tuesday, powering the Cincinnati Reds to a 6-3 victory over Philadelphia.
Drew Stubbs singled with one out in the ninth off Ryan Madson (2-1) and went to second on the pitcher's throwing error. One out later, Joey Votto was intentionally walked and Scott Rolen singled to load the bases.
Bruce then bashed a one-hop liner off the base of the right-center field wall to score all three runners, enabling the Reds to a break a six-game losing streak and a nine-game skid at Citizens Bank Park.
The big hit made a winner of Logan Ondrusek (3-2), who got the final out in the bottom of the eighth. Francisco Cordero hurled a 1-2-3 ninth to record his ninth save.
Brandon Phillips drove in a pair of runs and Rolen added two hits and an RBI for Cincinnati.
Raul Ibanez went 3-for-4, scored twice and drove in a run for the Phillies.
