Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

DENVER, May 24 (UPI) -- Kelly Johnson had a home run and two RBI Tuesday and Arizona rebounded from a lopsided loss in the first game of their doubleheader for a 5-2 win over Colorado.
Stephen Drew had two hits and RBI for the Diamondbacks, who were thumped 12-4 in the opener.
Joe Saunders (1-5) went eight innings for his first win of the season, giving up two runs on six hits and striking out four before turning the ball over to J.J. Putz, who worked a perfect ninth for his 13th save of the season.
Jhoulys Chacin (5-3) took the loss, giving up five runs on five hits. Ty Wigginton and Jason Giambi had solo home runs for the Rockies, who have lost five of their last seven games.
