SAN DIEGO, May 22 (UPI) -- Felix Hernandez fanned 13 batters and the Seattle Mariners banged out 15 hits Sunday in their 6-1 inter-league victory over San Diego.
Hernandez (5-4) was tough, yielding only one run on six hits in eight innings. He didn't issue any walk in breaking a personal two-game losing streak.
Carlos Peguero and Brendan Ryan both delivered two-run doubles for the Mariners, who swept a three-game series from the Padres at Petco Park.
Miguel Olivo went 3-for-5 with three runs scored in Seattle's win, its fifth straight and sixth in seven games.
Tim Stauffer (0-3) failed to gain in his first win in 10 starts for the Padres. The right-hander gave up 10 hits and three runs over six innings.
Chris Denorfia supplied San Diego's lone RBI.
