TORONTO, May 20 (UPI) -- Chris Johnson's one-run ninth-inning homer highlighted a late Houston comeback Friday that brought the Astros a 5-2 victory over Toronto.
Houston trailed 2-0 going into the eighth, but tied the game in that inning on a two-run, two-out double by Hunter Pence off Jon Rauch.
Frank Francisco (1-1) came on to work the ninth for the Blue Jays and he issued a one-out walk to Matt Downs before giving up Johnson's tiebreaking homer on a 3-2 pitch. Michael Bourn drove in another run later in the inning on an infield single.
Houston snapped a five-game losing streak and it marked only the second time in 16 games the Astros had scored five runs.
Wilton Lopez (1-1) struck out the side in the eighth and became the winning pitcher when the Astros took the lead in the ninth. Mark Melancon worked a 1-2-3 bottom of the ninth for his second save.
