LOS ANGELES, May 19 (UPI) -- Cody Ross hit a three-run homer in the ninth Wednesday to bring the San Francisco Giants a wild 8-5 triumph over the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Giants had a 5-2 lead going into the bottom of the eighth but the Dodgers tied it in that inning when Juan Uribe delivered a two-run double and then scored on a single by James Loney.
San Francisco came right back, however, against Lance Cormier (0-1).
Freddy Sanchez and Buster Posey both reached on one-out singles and Posey was erased at second on a fielder's choice grounder by Nate Schierholtz.
Ross then hit a 1-1 pitch from Cormier over the wall in left for his third homer of the season.
Brian Wilson (4-1) got the win by working the final 1 1/3 innings. He gave up two run-scoring hits in the eighth before surviving a leadoff single in the ninth.
