MIAMI, May 19 (UPI) -- Casey Coleman struck out seven over 5 2/3 innings Thursday and received plenty of relief help in leading the Chicago Cubs to a 5-1 win over Florida.
Coleman (2-3) left the game with a 3-0 lead and four Chicago relievers combined to give up a lone run on four hits. The Cubs swept the two-game series after having lost three in a row.
Reed Johnson put the Cubs in front with an RBI double in the second and Marlon Byrd hit a two-run homer in the fourth to make it 3-0.
Florida's only run came on Mike Stanton's eighth-inning homer, his ninth of the season. Starlin Castro contributed a two-run, insurance double in the ninth.
Chris Volstad (2-3) allowed three runs on four hits in five innings to take the loss. The Marlins have dropped three out of four.
