MLB: Cleveland 7, Kansas City 3

KANSAS CITY, Mo., May 17 (UPI) -- Travis Hafner slammed a bases-clearing double in the first inning Tuesday and the Cleveland Indians cruised to a 7-3 victory over Kansas City.

Asdrubal Cabrera and Carlos Santana contributed solo homers for the first-place Indians, who outscored the Royals 26-4 during a two-game sweep at Kaufman Stadium.

Carlos Carrasco (2-2) earned the victory, holding the Royals to two runs on five hits over 5 1/3 innings, walking two and striking out five.

Sean O'Sullivan (2-3) was rocked for six runs on eight hits in a five-inning start for Kansas City, which lost its fourth straight.

Melky Cabrera and Eric Hosmer each had two hits and an RBI for the Royals.
