MINNEAPOLIS, May 14 (UPI) -- Jose Bautista's homer broke an 11th-inning tie and ignited a six-run rally Saturday that carried the Toronto Blue Jays to a 9-3 win over Minnesota.
After Corey Patterson led off the 11th with a single off Jim Hoey, Glen Perkins (0-1) entered the game and Bautista greeted him by slicing a pitch into the right field stands, breaking a 3-3 tie.
Patterson later hit a sacrifice fly in the big inning, which also featured a two-run double by J.P. Arencibia and a bases-loaded walk drawn by Rajai Davis.
Arencibia also hit a solo homer and Yunel Escobar went 3-for-6 with two runs scored for the Blue Jays, who clinched a three-game series against the reeling Twins.
Former Twin Jon Rauch (2-2) collected the win with two innings of scoreless relief.
Michael Cuddyer went 3-for-5 with a solo homer for Minnesota, which lost a season-worst seventh straight game and owns the worst record in the major leagues at 12-25.
