
MILWAUKEE, May 14 (UPI) -- Milwaukee's Prince Fielder drove in runs with a homer and a single Saturday, and the Brewers logged their eighth straight win over Pittsburgh, 8-2.
Fielder's solo shot in the fourth put the Brewers ahead to stay at 1-0 and his single during a five-run, seventh-inning outburst gave Milwaukee a 4-1 advantage.
Casey McGehee delivered a two-run double, and Ryan Braun and Craig Counsell also knocked in runs for Milwaukee, which downed the Pirates for the 32nd time in 35 games at Miller Field.
Chris Narveson (2-3) earned the victory, limiting the Pirates to one run over six frames. Narveson allowed four hits and four walks while striking out five.
Pittsburgh's Jeff Karstens (2-2) surrendered a pair of runs on five hits during a five-inning start.
Lyle Overbay socked a solo homer for the Pirates.
