Vikings fullback Felton charged with DWI
ANAHEIM, Calif., May 12 (UPI) -- Alexei Ramirez scored the go-ahead run on a fluke wild pitch in the 10th Wednesday and the Chicago White Sox went on to down the Los Angeles Angels 6-4.
The Angels took a 4-2 lead into the ninth but the LA bullpen let both the lead and the game get away.
Jordan Walden blew the save in the ninth, giving up the first run in the inning on a walk and two singles. He then threw a wild pitch that allowed the tying run to move to third, from where Brent Lillibridge scored on a sacrifice fly by Omar Vizquel.
In the 10th, Ramirez singled with one out against Kevin Jepsen (0-2) and Adam Dunn doubled Ramirez to third. That brought up Paul Konerko and Jepsen was given the signal to intentionally walk the batter.
Jepsen's first pitch to Konerko, however, sailed over the head of catcher Hank Conger and Ramirez scored. Dunn moved up to third on the wild pitch and eventually scored on a sacrifice fly from Lillibridge.
Sergio Santos (2-0) picked up the unlikely win by pitching the eighth and ninth innings. Matt Thornton came on in the 10th and retired the side in order to grab his first save.
