TORONTO, May 11 (UPI) -- John McDonald and Rajai Davis had two RBI each during a five-run seventh Wednesday that sent the Toronto Blue Jays to a 9-3 victory over Boston.
The Blue Jays won both games of a two-game series after losing three in a row to Detroit.
Solo home runs by Adrian Gonzalez and David Ortiz brought the Red Sox within a run in the sixth, but Toronto broke things open in the seventh by batting around against John Lackey (2-5).
Toronto loaded the bases with two away before David Cooper drew a walk to force in a run. McDonald then delivered a two-run double and Davis had a two-run single to complete the scoring.
McDonald hit a solo homer in the fourth.
Jesse Litsch (4-2) picked up the win by lasting 5 2/3 innings. He gave up three runs on six hits.
Boston had a three-game winning streak halted.
