
MILWAUKEE, May 11 (UPI) -- Jason Bartlett and Cameron Maybin each had four hits and two RBI Wednesday, powering the San Diego Padres' 13-6 shellacking of Milwaukee.
Ryan Ludwick went 3-for-6 with three RBI, including a two-run homer, and Chris Denorfia added three hits and a solo shot for the Padres, who posted an eight-run eighth inning and pounded out 23 hits.
Alberto Gonzalez and Brad Hawpe chipped in with two hits and an RBI apiece for the Padres, who blew an early 5-0 lead but rebounded with an offensive surge and avoided a three-game sweep at Miller Park.
Chad Qualls (2-2) earned the win by retiring Ryan Braun with the bases loaded in the sixth after the Brewers had taken a 6-5 lead.
Kameron Loe (2-4) was tagged with loss, surrendering four of the Padres' eighth-inning runs.
Prince Fielder and Yuniesky Betancourt each clouted two-run homers for Milwaukee.
Braun and Casey McGehee contributed an RBI apiece.
