
DENVER, May 11 (UPI) -- Mike Pelfrey pitched 6 2/3 solid innings and drove in two runs to help his own cause Tuesday in the New York Mets' 4-3 win over Colorado.
Pelfrey (3-3) allowed three runs on six hits and fanned two, and Francisco Rodriguez was credited with his 10th save as New York bounced back from back-to-back losses.
Ike Davis contributed a two-run single and Daniel Murphy had a pair of hits and scored a run for New York.
Troy Tulowitzki and Seth Smith hit solo homers for the Rockies, who have lost five of their last six.
Jason Hammel (3-2) took the loss after allowing seven hits and four runs over seven innings. Hammel struck out five and walked two.
Colorado tied the score 2-2 with a pair of runs in the second inning but New York came back with two runs in the fourth, including the eventual game winner.
